Code of Conduct

As contributors and maintainers of the SiteBlock project, we pledge to uphold and maintain the values of a respectful and inclusive community. We aim to create a welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of background or identity.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:

  • Being respectful and considerate of differing viewpoints and experiences.
  • Using welcoming and inclusive language.
  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism.
  • Focusing on what is best for the community.
  • Showing empathy towards other community members.

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • The use of derogatory, offensive, or discriminatory language or imagery.
  • Public or private harassment, trolling, or insulting/derogatory comments.
  • Publishing others' private information without explicit permission.
  • Any form of harassment, including unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behaviors.

Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behavior and are expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all project contributors, both online and offline, as well as in project-related spaces.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting me at one of the methods listed on my website. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. I am obligated to maintain confidentiality regarding the reporter of an incident.

Project maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct. Contributors who do not follow the Code of Conduct may be removed from the project.
