Busy indicator or progress bar

AliTV can have quite long loading times (depending on the data and action). A visual indication in the user interface would be nice. There is a "Loading..." string when clicking one of the example data sets. This should be generalized. A generic API from AliTV to register listeners for arbitrary interfaces would be useful. In some cases it might even be possible to show a progress bar.
