Cannot mount AppImage, please check your FUSE setup on Debian 11

Hello,
I followed the installation steps provided to install the latest version:

user@server:~$ curl -LO https://github.com/neovim/neovim/releases/latest/download/nvim.appimage
user@server:~$ chmod u+x nvim.appimage
user@server:~$ sudo mv ./nvim.appimage /usr/bin/nvim
user@server:~$ sudo chmod 755 /usr/bin/nvim

but I got the following error when trying to run nvim on the terminal:

ser@server:~$ nvim
fuse: failed to exec fusermount: No such file or directory

Cannot mount AppImage, please check your FUSE setup.
You might still be able to extract the contents of this AppImage 
if you run it with the --appimage-extract option.

Then, I followed the steps on the wiki:

user@server:~$ sudo add-apt-repository universe
user@server:~$ sudo apt install libfuse2

But since I'm running Debian 11 instead of Ubuntu I got this error:

Is there a way I can fix this on Debian?

What does which fusermount say?

Try sudo apt install fuse for Debian.
