• second encoder sensor for quadrature signals or just buy a rotary encoder. note pi might need to be realitime tested as described here: test if PI is OK for realtime encoder counting #7
• Decent accuracy temp + humbity + pressure in one: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2652 . dew point measurements. Use SHT15 or SHT11
• As part of the control system for the motor, there is perhaps an opportunity to gather more information from the VFD (as an output from this unit) which could be used to measure motor parameters such as: Motor Speed, Motor Current, VFD Temperature (so all stop if overheating!), other stuff?
• a light sensor to detect lights being left on, etc
• live update of home sensor trigger. see issue build in live encoder recalibration #4
• We should actually also look a bit into the newer ascom protocols: https://ascom-standards.org/Developer/Alpaca.htm
