How To Make the Hello Dongle working on Win7 and Win8

On Win8, Win7, it’s unlikely that Win10 has direct Hello support with enroll tool. So you need to download another enroll tool to enroll your fingerprints. Besides, there are only supported WBF drivers from Windows Update (WU) for Win7 and Win10 now.

  1. For Win8 users, download all in one WBF driver v3.5.2.7 and install this. (Win7 and Win10 users can just install this through WU)

  2. Get the enroll tool WindowsFormsTest

  3. Unzip 20170428.5.zip and click WindowsFormsTest.exe

  4. Plug in Hello Dongle into PC

  5. Press Enroll button

  6. Start enrollment action and finish enrollment.

  7. Use this Hello Dongle to login Windows just by touching Hello Dongle in flashing blue easily to verify your fingerprint under longon screen.

  8. NOW, just try it by below operations.

    a. Lock current user by hotkey "Windows + L",

    b. Wake up PC from "Hibernate" or "Sleep" mode.

    c. Reboot PC.
