Reported:

Pinch to zoom the image or scaling to fit the image by default would be nice. When I uploaded a landscape photo, it’s scaled to fill and I can’t zoom out to show the whole picture (with some empty space above/below). When creating a story on web, a landscape photo is scaled to fit and then editing it on Android changes the image to fill the whole screen.

The pinch to zoom feature request is tracked in #432; this issue in particular aims at tracking this part:

Question @megsfulton @aforcier @Tug what do you think would be best to handle this? Should we fill the whole editing area on the web as well?
