Good afternoon,

Fresh installation of windows 11 Home 23H2 22631.2861. I installed brave browser, and clicked set default browser:

OpenWebSearch.cmd says installation successful.

Entering microsoft-edge:https://google.com into the windows run box fails to open default browser Brave. Nothing happens at all. Edge does not open either.

Hello,
Same issue with Firefox, neither Edge* or Firefox open. Also when trying to uninstall OpenWebSearch.cmd, even if the uninstallation succeed, still Edge* does not open.

*When I say Edge, for my part it was uninstalled and it usually opens Windows Store on the Edge page to install it

Checked:

  • Firefox is my default browser
  • Bing is my default search engine (or not) in the search bar settings
  • Powershell 5.1
  • Restarted after installation
  • Restarted after uninstallation
