Reviewing again validations in the literature I came across to "topological asymmetry". It is not the same as the "partition" feature in NeuroM. @lidakanari could you help with a precise formula and further references. Just in case you have some lines of experimental code, it would also help. One reference is:
Schneider, Cuntz and Soltesz 2014.: "linking macroscopic with microscopic neuroanatomy using synthetic neuronal populations". PLOS Computational Biology
