History

2023-2024

  • Hack The Tunnels: largest CCSS event so far (400+ Registrants, 250+ participants)
  • BOD Position Restructure
    • Vice President renamed -> Director of Operations
    • Director of Academics split -> Academics, Industry Initiatives
    • Director of Publications Added
    • Director of Community Removed
  • Jobuary (Job January): 14 events in one month (was probably too many)

2022-2023

  • Return from COVID
  • Internal volunteer Discord created
  • New Logo, brand identify, poster templates
  • First Fall General Meeting with 100+ attendees (traditionally never well attended)
  • New Lounge Whiteboard
  • End Of Year BBQ returns (3rd ever)

2021-2022

  • Website rebuilt (very good SEO)
  • Current day DiscreteMath.ca is built
  • Dev Day - several talks in one day
  • New Lounge Fridge and Coffee machines
  • Project Mentorship Program

2020-2021

  • CCSS Discord Created
  • First experimentation with online events:
    • Course Registration Webinar
    • Speed Friending
    • Online Code Challenges
  • First CS & Society Lecture
  • Budgeting shifts to case by case reimbursement

Ferris The Crab In Posters

Matthew had to make all of the 2022-2023 week of awesome posters in one night and in a (very tired) state started adding Ferris the crab to posters as he thought it would be funny and thought it would be appreciated by Forest.

The Lounge Wall

A long time ago, HP 4125 & HP 4135 were one room. Sometime (before atleast 2006) a wall was placed between the two due to "noise complaints".
