It would be great to make responses editabel by the student until the due date.
This way they can add to their response new insights.
The teacher wil also be able to make assignments where the response is eg a daily task to fill in.

I would like this, too. Our students complete a correspondence course in addition to a full-time job. Some tasks are only for self-control in between. The timing is free. One possibility to later change gives them feedback on whether they have really understood something. If the answers were wrong, they can repeat the chapter and try again.

Same here. I think this will add great usability for the plugin. Most users would expect they could edit their answer / response before the deadline. First time users would assume they could edit the response (add things / edit some parts). If they found they can't do anything once they submitted, would create some administrative hussle.
Thanks stat. It's wonderful plugin nevertheless.

I believe that this is a good idea, also. A way that this could work is to have a "Save" button which saves the student's response, but allows them to edit it later, and a "Submit" button which submits the response for grading. That way the student can decide when they are done with the answer.
