Aim for final digital asset - a clonable repo of how-to documents, ideally with method for building a workshop website etc. (adapt from Carpentries templates if possible)
Thoughts on what might also go in here, with links from report:
- Images/logos
Key features to make it a success:
- List of attendees - summary with institutions represented
- Comms methods/audiences targeted - email, Twitter, website, DiRAC, course directors, ARC associate directors, student weekly comms, etc.
- Roles/facilitation of online event
- Agenda
- List of speakers and why they were chosen
- Slido polls run during workshop
- Questions asked by attendees in Slido
- Feedback form questions and feedback from attendees
- Links to Zoom recordings (hosted on UCL Mediacentral as they're too large to upload directly here) and slides
- Slack channel/Eventbrite/ARC web page URLs
- Issues and lessons learned
Key features to make it a success:
- Timing of event (end of term/after summer exams)
- Attendee list/teams (summary by institution)
- Attendee sign-up questions - prior experience
- Reading list/ recommended training resources
- Cluster challenge format - see Jamie's README.md (2 days, part teaching, part hands-on challenge), design of challenges to suit different levels of prior experience, size and make-up of teams, number of helpers needed
- Comms to attendees
- Cluster - nodes/node types on Myriad, reservation and queue setup etc
- Online/hybrid - equipment/setup needed
- Swag we ordered!
- Catering costs/vouchers for food
- Feedback form questions and attendee feedback, especially on how prepared they felt for the event, and whether they enjoyed it!
- Issues/lessons learned/other things to consider if (when) we do it again...
