no systray menu on ubuntu #17

When i open donut it just opens in a window on ubunutu 17. in the readme gif it shows in a systray menu. how do i enable that?

Same here, and I cannot find any settings menu or anything.

This tool is really great but i have the same problem on 17.10 and 18.04 (KDE) - no systray :/
