Looks like this isn't comparable with 8.0 anymore.

Is there an easy fix for this? I have a pi5 with an nvme so I can't go back

The problem I have seen is that pigpio isn't widely supported anymore, doesn't work on a pi5 and the entire code from what I have seen is written around that.

I think it would have to be completely rewritten to get this to work.
