Currently by Windows default, we can do so in volume mixer. However, if the audio device is disconnected (likely with the monitor) and reconnected later, the setting is lost and falls back to the default device. I'm wondering if it's possible to make the app track such changes and respond accordingly.
What I want to see happening:
When selecting the audio device for an app, EarTrumpet records the app:device pair.
When the audio device is disconnected, do nothing since Windows handles it
When the audio device is reconnected, if the app is playing audio, set it back to the device recorded in 1
Alternatively, if the app is not playing audio when the audio device is reconnected, wait until it is and do the same thing as 3
Not sure if it is within the scope of this app, but would be very happy if it happens. Always thanks for the good work!
