Strange behavior : files moved to parent folder while syncing #151
Comments
Just to follow up on this issue. I tried two times to upload again the same folder (by deleting it from my cloud drive before to try again). Did not had any other issue like this. I dont know whats happened the first time I tried. I will upload some other folders and see whats happening. |
It happened again ! It did it on the last subfolder to upload. The events log says : NameOfTheFile.jpg renamed locally (and it is moved to the parent folder) Same bug : the files are moved to the parent folder and the subfolder where was saved the files is deleted locally. Before the sync process, the structure of the local folder where the photos was : After it did the strange operation, all files are now in : |
Me again. It looks like the problem occurs only when the sync mode is Two way. After the last issue, I changed Two way for "Local to cloud". Since then, I uploaded about 50 Go of data with many subfolders and the issue has not occured again. Even on my laptop I have problem with the sync mode. This afternoon I added a single file on a synced folder and Filen deleted the file from the cloud just after uploaded it. The setting is to Two way. I changed the mode to Local to cloud to not risk to lose data. |
Describe the bug
I was uploading a photos folder with many sub folders. The Windows client (3.0.41) did something very strange. The events log says « XXXX.jp renamed », folder « XXXVVV » deleted. What the client did ?
It moved all photos of a subfolder to a parent folder, then deleted the original folder where they was saved. It did this change on the cloud, then applyed it to local. So now, I have a local folder that lost the structure of my original main folder (Luckily I had a copy elsewhere).
To Reproduce
I dont know how to reproduce. I've just added a photos folder to my local folder that is synced with the root of my Filen drive.
Expected behavior
Upload the new local folder to the cloud and keep its structure as is.
