Per foundryvtt/pf2e#11303, the pf2e devs have indicated that they will not add support for Auras to the system due to "undefined hex grid rules". I know they don't use measurement templates for Auras and have a custom class. Look into the possibility of libwrapping the relevant functions or contact the dev team for help in how to hijack their work.

The aura issue is the only thing that is honestly keeping me from using Hexagon on my maps currently. If you figure this out I will be switching so quickly.

Yeah I have a player currently using auras in my games and it has started to become a pain point for me. I plan to focus on this as the next feature. Unsure of how long it will take to implement though so I can't give a good estimate on when it will be done.
Aura automation support for hex grids will be possible once foundryvtt/pf2e#16543 is merged in. I have already created the necessary code to correspond with the above MR.
