Tried moving exe. to C: didn't work. Will keep trying, but want to open this issue just in case all else fails.

Could just be a Linux issue, but try this:

1. Move your FC2 install to the root of C. (C:/FC2)

2. Extract the Multi-Fixer into the bin folder (c:/FC2/bin)

Run the MF Launcher, tweak as needed (leave frame cap set a to default enabled and 60), and create a desktop icon.

Launch the game via the desktop icon.

Still getting the error, must be a missing windows component or something from protontricks

Moving the multi-fixer into FC2/bin fixed it for me, be sure to say yes to file ovewrite
