Welcome to the image-analysis-outreach wiki! Way of making this a home page and links to pages?

Find step by step instructions for activity 1 (Colour Detectives) and activity 2 (Arctic Ice Measurements).

Alternatively, find a wiki on how to adapt these image analysis workshops to suit your own interests, and create your very own workshop.

The structure of our workshops:

Our workshops were approximately 45 minutes long, and we had one class per workshop.

Introduction to the whole class: 10 minute presentation.

Our presentation can be found here: link

At the end of the 10 minute introduction, the class was then split up into two groups. Group 1 started on activity 1, and group 2 started on activity 2.

Activity 1 and activity 2 were run in separate spaces for 15 minutes each.

After both activities 1 and 2 had been completed, group 1 and group 2 were switched over, therefore giving all students an opportunity to try both activities. The activities then ran for a second time.

When all the students had had the opportunity to take part in both activities the class were gathered together to wrap up, discuss what they had learnt, discuss image analysis careers in science, and were encouraged to communicate what they had learnt to family and friends.
