If I compare north_20230725_v01.0 to the latest north_20241024_v01.0, I find that 5068 glacier ids have been removed and 6032 glacier ids have been added. I wouldn't have noticed, except that 706 of these missing GLIMS glacier ids are in the FoG database to link WGMS glacier ids to GLIMS glacier ids.

'G080154E41960N', 'G090804E35833N', 'G040217E43787N', ...

How come these glacier ids no longer exist and what is the best procedure for finding the correct replacement?
