The digital registry has a feature to look up non-government domains used by the federal government (for example, "gsa.companyx.com"). Federal agencies using commercial web applications have a need to create a safelist of the federal endpoints for the vendor instead of safelisting the entire vendor domain. In other words, for companyx.com, agencies do not want to safelist *.companyx.com but want to safelist gsa.companyx.com, nih.companyx.com, cdc.companyx.com, etc. In addition, agencies want to be able to look up those safelists by the vendor domain (companyx.com) and have access to those lists limited to the federal government.
