Current state

Hundreds of twitter.com accounts exist and existed prior to Twitter.com's change to X.com.
A few x.com addresses have also been created.

Implications or impact

  • The result is a bit of inconsistency and potential duplication (based on differing URL strings).

Some options/ideas

  • do nothing and leave as is (zero effort)
  • basic find/replace of twitter.com URLs with x.com (minimal effort)
  • add support for multiple URLs for a single account (substantive effort)
