Things we'll have to iron out that aren't necessarily tied to adding the authentication plumbing.

Students don't have email addresses.
Do students sign up or is their account created for them?
Presumably non-students will have an email for password retrieval/notifications?

@Taeben10 Can you fill in any of these gaps?

Because of all the legal things with people who are under 13, we should assume the following:

Students will have not e-mail addresses associated with their account.
For now students do not sign up...an account is created for them by a teacher/parent/guardian. Not sure what this means for password retrieval...
Non students CAN have an email associated with their username. In the past non-students have found it beneficial to get notifications through email.
