Performance page updates #393

Talk to Josh about the links opening in new tabs. He and Sam agreed on same tab because the user has the option to right click to get a new tab. My 2-cents is new tab for external links and same tab for internal links. But that might be confusing for the user. We should test all of this! |
I think this is the only page so far where external links don't open in a new tab. |
All links in the Guidelines sections stay on the same tab and do not open in a new tab. The only links that open new tabs are on the homepage (that I've experienced so far). |
Oops, I see that now! |
At the very least we need to update the homepage links, but that's not this issue. |
I'm voting for links opening in new tabs. Can we test this before making an executive decision?? One really obnoxious thing about GitHub was everything opening on the same tab and I'd loose where I was........ Remembering to right click? Yeah, that doesn't happen with me. |
Clarification -- links to internal pages open in same tab. External to new tab. |
Something else to consider for our crazy long links: maybe create a (Source) for the link instead of making an entire statement a link? |
