Thanks Amber! Would you say the user was unfamiliar with Dataverse? And was this feedback part of a usability study? This was tested a little when we were testing the new file landing page, but many of our participants were familiar with Dataverse. |

To focus on the most important features and bugs, we are closing issues created before 2020 (version 5.0) that are not new feature requests with the label 'Type: Feature'. If you created this issue and you feel the team should revisit this decision, please reopen the issue and leave a comment. |
As reported by a user of our installation: "Regarding the CITE DATA FILE function, this button is how to export the citation. I parse the phrase CITE DATA FILE as meaning getting the actual citation. It seems the button could be labelled as traditional databases do it: export citation or similar words."
