This is not unexpected behaviour, so normally I'd reclassify it as a minor issue, but since...

  • this has been requested in the past
  • seems like a desirable, valuable and sensible behaviour/feature
  • should be quick enough to implement

...I'll leave it as an issue and probably include it in the next release in conjunction with the scheduled work I'm doing right now (automated GUI tests and topological sorting algorithm for graph execution).

I may get back here in the future to ask further questions, just to make sure we are on the same page regarding the specifics, although I think you were already clear enough.
