+Currently, most image optimizing plugins are not compatible because most of them attempt to do the optimizing in the background *after* the media is uploaded.  Media Cloud actually intercepts the upload the process, so for image optimizers to work, they'll need to intercept the upload process too.

+Some gallery plugins sidestep WordPress's built-in media library and try to roll their own, for whatever reasons - none of which seem like good reasons to me.  NextGEN Gallery, maybe the most popular one of these types of plugins, does their own thing.  We've tried a couple of times to integrate with it, but their codebase is a mess and it's not a plugin we ever really use, so we gave up.

+We've tested a lot of media related plugins (sliders, image optimizers, media replace, etc) and most of them work (except for the ones mentioned above).  If you find a plugin that doesn't work, please report it in the support forum so we can add the warning to the plugin.
