A Reasonable Approach to Writing Web Apps

Type: Talk

Description: A new trend of compile-to-javascript languages has emerged, bringing several new languages, such as Typescript, ClojureScript, Flow and Elm, to name a few. Facebook has brought their own competitor to the scene called ReasonML. ReasonML is an alternate syntax and toolchain for the OCaml language and ecosystem. This talk will attempt to showcase the strengths of combining the flexible, yet typed nature of such a language with existing methodologies and technologies used in web development, primarily focusing on React.

Preferred language: English

Duration: Short talk (~30min)

Preferred size: any size

When: 19th of March

Personal info

Name: Petar Saulić

Email: [email protected]

About: I'm a web developer primarily working with the Javascript ecosystem. Studied theoretical physics, spent time making numerical simulations of fluid dynamics and galaxy collisions.
