Create "hidden" Markdowns

Apologies if I've missed it in the docs, but is it possible to add a tag to markdowns so that they don't show up in the final .html but still are visible in the code?
I got a REALLY REALLY long book and it's a bit annoying to navigate without any md outlines so I was wondering if this was already implemented somewhere
