Hello, I had installed joomfish, install was ok but the component was not showing at the component section. I uninstalled joomfish again and reinstalled it again. Unfortunately I get errors now and joomfish is not showing at the backend and not even in the folders by components. I got following errors. I have uninstalled everything and deleted the files in the database but even when I try to install it again it is going wrong. In the manage extension manager the administrator component keeps appearing while it is not installed and I can't see any files in the folders. I have to delete the extentions manually in the database to get it away. Any idea what to do?

    Installing System - JFDatabase: Success
    Installing System - JFRouter: Success
    Installing System - JFOverrides: Success
    Installing Language Selection Module: Success
    Installing Joomfish library: Success

Component Install: DB function reports no errors

    Error installing component

Joom!Fish extension not installed correctly. Plugin not executed

Thanks

Can you be a bit more specific about the versions you try to use? What is your Joomla version, which Joomfish build?
What server and database? Do you have rights to create views?

Hello,

I hope this helps. I try to install joomfish 2.5.0.

PHP Built On Linux srv047118.webreus.nl 2.6.18-028stab070.2 #1 SMP Tue Jul 6 14:34:09 MSD 2010 i686
Database Version 5.1.47
Database Collation utf8_general_ci
PHP Version 5.3.10
Web Server Apache/2.0.54 (Fedora)
WebServer to PHP Interface cgi-fcgi
Joomla! Version Joomla! 2.5.8 Stable [ Ember ] 8-November-2012 14:00 GMT
Joomla! Platform Version Joomla Platform 11.4.0 Stable [ Brian Kernighan ] 03-Jan-2012 00:00 GMT
User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/17.0

I also discovered an other error. I uninstalled the joomfish component but the administrator component I can't delete. I have tried to find the folder with files to delete it manually no luck there. After I have uninstalled the component I discovered that joomfish is making strings in my urls, com-joomfish-help/advertentie-mogelijkheden, like this, very strange and I hope that you can help me with this. I have manually deleted the joomfish strings in the database by just deleting joomfish from the path. A few hours later the strings was there again, I think there is something on my site of joomfish that still makes the strings, but I can't find it.

As installation works on our test servers and we are unable to replicate this we would need admin access to your site (or copy of your site) and access to your database management tool (phpMyadmin) to be able to debug this, hard to know what is going on without debugging on your specific environment. If you are able to provide test installation please send login data to klas dot berlic at gmail dot com

What version of MySQL driver are you using? MySQLi (with "i")?
