We needed four single rooms total. When first walking into the lobby we were told they could accommodate us. After a few minutes of deciding where to stay we went back in and were told they only had one single available. We negotiated and were able to get doubles for the price of a single. All of us got our room keys, and proceeded to get baggage out of the rental car. 3/4 of the keys didn't actually unlock any doors, and we were told it was due to being too close to electronics. The one key that did work had 115 written on it. We open the door to 115, there is luggage open on the beds and the shower is running. (Good thing we didn't catch a glance) Returned to office and told them of the situation and she said, \"Sorry, were doing training and you were supposed to get 215.\" The lock to another one of our rooms still wouldn't unlock. They switched that room to 219. Our manager was uncomfortable with having an adjoining room to another room where we didn't know someone. So we switched 215 to 220. After driving 13 hours to Peoria, we all were in need of rest. After waking we found the towels were dirty, there were cigarette burns in a non-smoking room, and upon close inspection there was blood splatter on the walls, carpet, and curtains. The security latch in 219 was also separating from the door. The drain and stopper were missing from the bathtub. The grout in the bathroom looks like it hasn't been scrubbed since the place was built. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee. I told the attendant in the office about our experience at checkout and she said, \"Well you should have came down first thing to let us know about the problem.\" I'm sorry but after driving for half a day I'm not going to inspect our room, go down to the office, and have them switch the room once again.. But I guess next time I know. Not that next time we will stay at the Super 8. The staff was exceptionally helpful, especially with shipping several large packages to and from the motel. The room was very clean. The breakfast was standard fare, but the coupon in the room led to a great pizza delivery - ordered three times. It is a very convenient location to the airport and to downtown, and the room rate was very good. There is a wonderful Mexican restaurant three blocks east. The area doesn't seem like much, but I felt safe making the 10-15 minute walk to the convention center each day. At the end of the week, we drove up to Sonora and out to Globe visting lots of ruins and historical attractions. A great working vacation. Based on reviews in this forum we spent two nights here to take in some Cactus league games. The location was convenient. No problem checking in, the room (a suite) was very large: actually two normal rooms with two bathrooms, two TV's, small fridge. King beds huge and comfortable. There were some problems. Two lights in the room did not work, one shower did not work, and the rooms, while certainly not really dirty, were not as clean as one might hope. Neither bathroom had tissues. There were a couple of small pieces of TP in one bathroom floor, a bottle cap on the floor in the bathroom, and the last occupant's cell phone charger was still plugged in. The room was quiet except for late night partying by a group by the pool just outside our window. A/C and heat worked fine. This room was away from the freeway had no freeway noise. The breakfast was standard fare for a hotel in this class. We are not clean freaks by any means, but this place was pretty shabby and divey. You sign a waiver that you wnt' smoke int eh room, but the peopel inteh roomnext to use, regularly were coming out of hteir room with a lit cigarette in hand. We listened to them party until the wee hours. Breakfast was basic, no sausages, but they did have waffles. Pool was nice, but spa was closed. They have a bbq by the pool, but who wants to eat in a smelly dark room with no utensils or plates? This has become \"our\" motel. We found the staff helpful and curtious, the room was clean and well furnished (including a microwave, refidgerator, flatscreen TV and new coffee machine). Most of all the location really appeals to us. The overall landscaping is very nice. We live in Phoenix and were quite surprised to find trees and green grass. The pool and jacuzzi are amazing at night. The location provides privacy and quiet, yet still very close to dining and night life, something rather hard to find in Phoenix. I would recommend this establishment to couples for a \"staycation\".The price is unbeatable for the location and amenities provided. This location is near an industrial community and has very few local ammenities which would have been a turnoff had we the time to drive around and survey the immediate area. Our first disturbing encounter was at around 10:00 pm. We were doing a load of laundry and 2-3 tough looking guys drinking beer began banging on the glass security door and asking my wife to \"open the door.\" She fled in the opposite direction and we did the laundry the following day. Early the next morning while preparing to leave, I noticed at least one vehicle up on jacks and the motor being overhauled. Around the near corner of the building, they had rented out a room to some temporary employment agency who was interviewing quite a few day laborers. And finally, a van was parked in the far corner and picked up a few \"shady ladies\" that appeared to have spent the night. After this experience, I can not recommend this location to a travelling family. The location was north of Phoenix, which was great for our purposes. We were coming down from the Grand Canyon and Sedona. The front desk was very friendly. The morning breakfast was ok. There was sausages, boiled eggs, cereal, apples/oranges, juice and bread for toast. Watch that toaster! It burned someone's bread one morning and the whole room was full of smoke. There's one computer in the lobby for free guest internet use, so I was able to print off my boarding passes on check out day. I think this motel is hit or miss. The manager went out of her way to help me get on line to do my work. I can't say enough kind things about this hotel.
