I've opened a series of issues more to start a discussion about certain features than to tell it should be done. This is one of them and we need to decide if we want to have it or not.
An email could be sent to 1. the form author and 2. the user when a new response is registered. This raises a big technical challenge: spam. As kinto is a generic platform, it seems complicated to let anyone send an email to anyone else.

We could have an administrator-editable template, per bucket, that's sent to form creators when a new answer is submitted. It could be something generic enough that it is part of the formbuilder project.
If they want to send an email to the user that created the record, I think that would be out of scope for us ?
