Compiling directions states that one should clone the repo and then launch compilation. Github allows to download the zip file of the repo, which I did.
Then compiling failed : submodules were missing.
I deleted the downloaded files and cloned the repo. Then compiling worked.
I suggested adding in the readme that downloading the zip file will not work.
