If you want to use the bot on your own server, you will need to create a Discord bot and add it to your server.
Here is a tutorial on how to do it:
writebots_website or youtube_video
OR you can use Docker to run the bot by following the instructions below :
- Installing Docker : docker_website
- Clone this repository
- Run the Dockerfile with
docker build . --build-arg token=<your_token> --build-arg channel_id=<your_channel_id> --build-arg guild_id=<your_guild_id> -t self-improvement-bot

The bot will create a leaderboard.json file in the folder where the users data will be stored.
The file will contain all the users data (username, total score, pushups, pullups, squats, situps) in a JSON format.
For example, the file leaderboard.json
will contain all the users data for the server where the bot is running.
The bot will create a folder named logs
in the folder where the bot is located.
It will store all the logs (with both commands erros) in a file named with the format YYYY-MM-DD-DiscordIDServer.log
in the folder logs
.
For example, the file 2021-01-01-123456789012345678.log
will contain all the logs of the server with the ID 123456789012345678
on the 1st of January 2021.
The bot has a cooldown of 10 seconds for each command.
That means that you can't use the same command twice in less than 10 seconds.
It can be changed in the file main.py
in the variable COOLDOWN
in the function on_command
.
The bot will send a random quote from Andrew Tate and other inspirationnal people to keep you motivated and help you to improve yourself.
The quotes are stored in the file quotes.json
in the root folder of the bot.
You can add your own quotes in the file quotes.json
by following the same format as the other quotes.
