The Automated Item Dispenser aims to provide ease of usage for all stakeholders – professor, students and TAs. It features efficient weekly lab item dispensing and easy student authentication. For instructors, easy restocking of machine and well as alerts on malfunctions and low supply provide easy usage. The project thus streamlines the process of issuing weekly lab equipment for all involved.

The system is powered by a Rasperry Pi with a separate 12V power unit for the stepper motors. Sensors and Motors Used: Stepper Motor, Ultrasonic Sensor, Servo Motor, Colour Sensor, RFID Scanner, Matrix Keypad, Relay Switches. To communicate user and system error(s), we use MQTT and SMTP protocol.
