1.1 workshop update? #39
Comments
Yes.
|
Bump. Would enjoy seeing this updated. Cheers. |
I see that the 1.1 branch was merged. Does that mean that the Workshop version will be updated soon-ish? |
Soon-ish. My branching discipline isn't the highest for a project like this, so please don't assume that a merge means it's done.
What it means is that there is progress being made.

Just here to say keep up the good work and thank you for being a awesome modder |
Sooo.. Been 2 months since the last commit; I take it progress has ceased? Came back to Rimworld after half a year, went through the process of updating mods, and, well... Hurts that I got practically every other mod updated, except this one. And you can't remove it from your save, so my colony is effectively dead. In my test, the colony DID load, but with the amount of errors on startup/load, who knows how much it breaks things.. I guess I could maybe find 1.0 versions of the dozen or so mods that updated and broke their 1.0 compatibility and downgrade to 1.0 to 'finish' playing that save, but, meh. Probably best to just retire that and move on, as hard as it is. |

I use RimWar and it's not a replacement. They'd compliment each other really well, but RimWar and MFI have different purposes. |
I agreed on that but since this mod is dead since 1.0 there is nothing that could be an exact replacement to MFI, so I think Rimwar is the closest one for now. |
Being that it doesn't at all fill the same niche as MFI nor have any
similar features, saying that it's a replacement will only lead to
disappointment for those expecting a viable alternative. It's completely
misleading.
I want to move from xml mods to C# mods, so fixing this seems like a good
way to get my feet wet. I'll look into it later today.

Thank you, I hope you gonna update it to 1.2 rather than 1.1 or both if you can I never try MFI myself, I just read it from the original description. I think the only feature that Rimwar and MFI got in common is faction war and I think if you get a chance to update it, it will be really great to make both MFI and Rimwar compatible to each other |
I saw the commit mentioning updating to 1.1 but that you "need to refactor for quests". Is that a blocker on updating the workshop version?
