I will begin examining the Taichi 3D Gaussian Splatting implementation. Does anyone have insights into how their approach might differ? Given that this is a standalone reimplementation released prior to the official code, there could be notable variations. Has anyone compared it to the original code? There are likely valuable lessons to be gleaned! Interestingly, they also seem to require fewer Gaussians in certain cases.
