A Simple authentication (public/protected) routes with Nextjs 14 using spring boot web security default settings.
- add
SPRING_BOOT_HOST
in .env - customize login form at
(api)/login/form.tsx
api()
wraps nextjs fetch()
with SPRING_BOOT_HOST
login form proxy the request to spring boot api and save the JSSSIONID
cookie in the browser.
we reuse the JSESSIONID
cookie in the browser to authenticate the request to spring boot api.
if server components does not use api()
to fetch data, it is then public and not protected.
otherwise, it is a protected server component and api()
will redirect unauthenticated users to /login.
