Your idea.

I tried to create a convenient date slice in my table to select values for a period. It turns out to be a very inconvenient slice in the form of a list of all dates (for several years). I tried grouping the dates. It's great that the slice and filter are updated and allow you to use grouping, but with a large spread of dates, this slice is useless. You need a slice that allows you to select the year, quarter, month, and day at the same time. Currently, you can select only one category, for example, the month of March. But it is impossible to select March 2023 by a slice or filters

Updated: I found that after grouping dates by several criteria, additional fields are created in the pivot table. Also, these additional fields are added to the slices. There are two minuses that I would like to see corrected:

  1. In the list of fields in the pivot table, when grouped, they are named the same, it is difficult to determine how this field is grouped
  2. Several separate slices with year, month, quarter work quite well, but in the future I would like to see one complex time slice like in Excel
