Quick access changes view type randomly

In Folder Options -> General the property Open File Explorer is set to Quick access. However, when File Explorer is started, the view type in Quick access changes randomly. Most frequent are Details, Tiles and Large icons. Despite the manual reset to Medium icons, it changes again randomly the next time File Explorer is started. The view type persists in other folders, only Quick access is the problem. The issue is not observed when OpenShell is disabled.

Is this a known issue? If yes, what may cause this and how to fix?
