latest windows release crashes

after installing it, and downloading the lastest ffmpeg from: ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win32/shared, putting the binaries with the engine , and the engine binaries, on the correct folder, the engine crashes...

can I using a powershell in windows get any information just like how I get info in the linux console, and see what actually makes it crash?

for reference RBDoom3BFG doesn't crash.
