Does the gulp stuck at node 14 by design?

Hello, seems the node version that's supported on gulp-sass to build node-gyp and node-sass only work on node 14 lts, since 16, 18, and now 20, it will cause error when I run npm install. Is there other people who face the same problem as mine?

I run node 18.14.2 and just did a fresh clone of the repo and then:

cd core/Piranha.Manager
npm install
gulp min:css
gulp min:js

I got no errors but a couple of deprecation warnings as some of the dependencies are getting out of date.

Ouch, sorry, I tried using the template (piranha.mvc template), using 18.14 using python2 (forced, can't use python3), on Ubuntu 22.04, and the log really make me confused.

for 14 I can build it
