Here is what you need to get started:

  1. Fork the Q-App code at https://github.com/Qortal/Q-Apps

  2. Find something you want to do at the Qortal Projects page. We are happy to receive PRs from new contributors. Issues labeled with "Good First Issue" should be prioritized to new contributors rather than those who have been in the community for awhile. This will make it easier for new contributors to provide value and get additional issues over time.

  3. Ping Qortal Seth on Discord, Telegram, or Q-Chat with what you want to do. He will update the project form so everyone knows the issue belongs to you. This way contributors won't be competing to solve the same issues, and no contributor will monopolize the majority of the issues.

  4. After making your changes and submitting a PR, be sure to follow any instructions given by reviewers. Keep in mind that is the responsibility of contributors to make the reviewer's job easier, not the other way around. PRs will generally be evaluated in the order they come in, so if a PR is before yours, you may have to git pull and resolve merge conflicts before it is reviewed.

  5. If the PR is a part of the bounty, then the contributor must wait until a week after the code is accepted and in production to get paid. This ensures that there are no serious bugs or other issues that need to be fixed for the PR to be acceptable.

Failure to abide by these rules may result in a PR being rejected and the associated bounty denied. Also, bounties are not available to anyone banned from the community.
