Facebook share message not working

Several users have reported that, after customizing the Facebook share text, the Facebook sharing still shows a blank message.

I checked out one of our competitors and their Facebook sharing seems to not be working either.

I've looked through the Facebook documentation and it seems like they have removed a lot of the ways we use to be able to customize the shared message.

I found a way using the "Share" dialog to send a "quote" which includes our sent text as a quoted object just beneath the Facebook user's text but that's not quite the same.
