Hello, I'm Youmin. First, I'd like to express my gratitude for your outstanding work.

I've recently embarked on a new research project and had the pleasure of reading your paper. I had a question regarding your model, Open-RAG. Am I correct in understanding that it does not utilize the contexts (or documents) already provided within datasets like HotpotQA and 2WikiMultiHopQA, or does it use both the provided documents and those retrieved externally?

Hi Youmin, thanks for your kind words!

During evaluation, we ran Beam Retrieval on the documents provided in the evaluation set and did not retrieve anything additional.
