Not sure about other widgets, but live sample:

Canonical never changes from http://www.sitefinitysteve.com/blog

Also sidenote, it appears to be allowing the url
http://www.sitefinitysteve.com/blog/code/2012/10/22/sitefinity-53-planning-roadmap/trackback or ANYTHING after the route, that shouldn't be happening, it's invalid?
