Should we allow articles to be connected to both a scene or a model in the scene?

Currently you can attach Articles to the "VScene" node or any model node. I think this was originally done so we could attach certain content to certain collection objects when a scene contained multiple collection objects. This would ostensibly allow us to directly enrich the collection records with the authored articles in some upstream system such as Packrat or EDAN.

This seems like a nice idea, but I'm worried that is adding extra complexity to the authoring process which users are not aware of. This can cause articles to be "lost" if the behavior is not understood. Also if the behavior is not understood it can also lead to articles be assigned to the incorrect node/collection object which makes the whole point of this ability moot/would create bad connections in the upstream system.

Are there other benefits to allowing articles to be attached at multiple places?
