Is this still occurring? I wonder if they just have different quality settings set for the audio streams depending on user agent (which is now set to Chrome in Dorion, since it fixes voice chat on all platforms), which would maybe explain why Firefox sounds fine?
It's still occurring as of client 2.1.0, from a fresh installation (no plugins, no nothing)
Here's the audio captured from my end. The first segment is Firefox 119.0, the second is Official PTB (Ptb 244126 (0f5e7c3) Host 1.0.1042 x86 (39299)), the third is Dorion 2.1, recorded with Audacity, exported to WAV.
A quick listen back at the recording:
Firefox gives pretty much the same quality as official client, just quieter
Dorion sounds compressed (low bitrate, roughly equivalent to 96-128kbps MP3)
Describe the bug
Music from bots played through Dorion sounds worse than official client (major treble loss)
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
Sound quality on par with official client.
