I tried manually downloading nasm using the same command the ASGS does and it was instantaneous. However, when the script runs, it is extremely slow (estimated time to download 34 minutes for 1.6MB tgz file).

RFC: I think we need to make the build/install of ffmpeg into an optional installation step that is off by default.
