Many functions here have been superseded byast/util.py or module_locator/util.py.

  1. The deprecated functions should have their remaining uses switched to the better utils in ast/ etc.
  2. Any non-deprecated functions should be rewritten with higher code-quality and put in a sensible module such as ast/ for AST related utils.
