I think it's great that you maintained a fork. I'm still interested in maintaining aqemu although sometimes it may look like I'm not, just merged a bunch of pull requests.
The issue with forks like yours is that now pull requests are being made to different forks and this makes it harder for me or others to keep track of them all. It would be nice of you or someone else to open pull requests on github.com/tobimensch/aqemu for all the changes you've merged. Individually, if possible. I decided against merging some patches, for example the turkish translations, because they were not finished.
Also, I've a branch of aqemu on my computer that I began to develop years ago, that really is a great step forward for aqemu, but I never got around to finish it. It will get much harder for me to bring it to an end, if there are too many forks around, that create incompatibilites in the source code and thus merging issues.
